How to Freeze Herbs

To prevent wasting herbs that you are unable to use while fresh & healthy, it is a good idea to freeze them.  Herbs also don't do well in winter and it's best to preserve them for the winter months.
Frozen Herbs
This is such an easy method to enjoy your herbs all year long!
INGREDIENTS
Fresh herbs
(any, either individually or a combination - it's up to you!)
Extra virgin olive oil or light olive oil (better taste)
Water to help preserve in ice cube form

METHOD
Blend the herbs (separate or together) in your food processor.
Slowly add olive oil or water until you have a paste. The herbs will freeze with little olive oil, but the oil/water helps them form a compact cube.
Carefully scoop the herb paste into ice cube trays (sealable type if possible, otherwise add more oil and/or water to cover the herbs in the tray).
Allow the herbs to freeze.
Once they have frozen, pop out each cube, wrap in plastic wrap and store in a plastic zip-seal freezer bag.
Herbs last indefinitely in the freezer.
Add straight from the freezer to recipes as you are cooking!
