I have just finished updating my cookbook for Banting/LCHF. A new section on all the basics to go Banting has been added and the Stocking the Kitchen section now has a Quick Guide and is colour-coded to LCHF (so you know what you can/can't eat!). Most of the recipes have been updated to include Banting options & tips, and new recipes have been added for alternatives to Bread, Chips, Mash, Noodles, Pasta, Rice, Wraps, low-carb Dried Soup Mixes (to replace soup powders & flavourings to casseroles, stews, sauces, soups, etc) and how to make Biltong (a great LCHF snack!) The revised eBook is now available for those who want to load it onto their PC, Note or eReader (saves connecting to the internet!). Enjoy & take care! Barbs |

About 18 months ago, I was diagnosed with Diabetes (Type 2) which I believe was caused by a lack of exercise and having gained 15kg in my tender oldER age! I had to make a serious plan to lose weight and decided to go on a Banting/LCHF diet. After researching Banting & LCHF (Low Carb High Fat), I kept to the basics & lost 10kg with very little effort. I must admit that the "high fat" bit worries me but I found that anything high fat is very filling and I can't really eat that much of it anyway (too rich!).
Anyway it's worked for me and I feel so much better already - only 5kg to go! On the top right of the A3Recipes.com home page I have provided Banting Alternatives for bread, chips, mash, noodles, pasta, pizza base, rice & wraps. Please try them and the snack option (biltong) and let me know if you have any other ideas or recipes which you would like to share. I would love to try them and will publish them (with full credit!). Take care, Barbs.
